Sustainability
Recycled Polyester
We focus on making small changes that lead to a big impact. In the last 3 years, we have incorporated post-consumer recycled polyester in our Sleepwear, Hosiery, Carried Accessories, Headwear, and Cold Weather Categories. In 2022, over 80% of the units sold in our Sleepwear category contained recycled polyester.
(Certifications: Recycled Content Standard (RCS), Global Recycled Standard (GRS))
Responsible Cotton
By 2025, we aim to have 100% of our cotton fall under one of the following standards or certifications: Cotton USA, Organic Cotton Standard (OCS), Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), or the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI).
Update: We are currently running large scale programs with Cotton USA and the Better Cotton Initiative, and hope to launch our first recycled cotton program early 2024.
(Certifications: Cotton USA, OCS, GOTS, BCI)
Alternative Materials
We are constantly sourcing new and innovative materials to combat the climate crisis. For our partners ready to make a serious commitment, we have sourcing partners ready to hit the ground running on regenerative and renewable materials like hemp and bamboo.
(Regenerative Materials: Hemp, Bamboo)
Packaging
Forest Stewardship Council
For every retail partner and online marketplace, we are using FSC certified materials for our paper and cardboard consumer packaging.
Recycled Poly Mailers
100% GRS certified recycled poly mailers are utilized for our direct-to-consumer brands.
By the end of 2023, we will fully transition our core business from 50% recycled to 100% recycled polymailers.
Programs, Partnerships, Certifications
“At Bioworld, we value the long term partnerships we have built with our factories. We have responsible and transparent relationships with our partners throughout the supply chain. This allows us to consistently produce high quality goods.”

Code Of Conduct
All of our suppliers are held to the standards for worker protection and safety outlined in our code of conduct found here.
Third Party Audits
Independent third party audits ensure our suppliers are socially responsible .
Every supplier we work with has to be audited to one of the three globally recognized standards: SMETA, BSCI, or WRAP.
Environmental Responsibility
To be able to better understand the emissions from our supply chain, our factories are completing the FEM survery supported by the Higg Index and Sustainable Apparel Coalition. By 2025, we aim to have a 100% adoption rate.
Many of our factories already hold these certifications and partner programs:
Bluesign
Oeko-tex
GOTS
OCS
GRS
RCS
Higg FEM
ISO 14001
Print On Demand Production
Print on demand allows us to have all the SKUs fans want without the inventory.
This allows water consumption savings compared to traditional printing, and eliminates water pollution with water-based inks.
Factory Partner Programs & Certifications
We seek and prioritize relationships with factories that embrace a holistic approach to social and environmental responsibility. We prioritize facility worker well-being programs that go above and beyond industry standards and local laws.
We also prioritize suppliers that hold additional industry certifications for their work to lessen their environmental impact.
These exemplify our partner’s desire and commitment to leading the industry forward by example and speak to our shared sense of purpose.
